Sri Lanka Agrees to Play Test Series In Pakistan, PCB. Pakistan vs Sri Lanka Test Series in Pakistan. ICC Test Championship Pakistan vs Sri Lanka.

After a decade of No-Cricket-in-Pakistan, international cricket is finally returning to Pakistan as Sri Lanka has agreed to play a Test series in Pakistan.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been making efforts to bring International cricket back, and their struggles have produced results after receiving a positive response from Sri Lankan Cricket Board.

If everything goes well, the 2 match Test series will be played in September-October this year. It may well be a part of Test Championship, media reports said on Thursday.

The matches will be played in Karachi National Stadium and Lahore Qaddafi Stadium.

Reports say the management of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is also in talks with the Bangladesh Cricket Board to invite them for a short series.

Pakistan hasn’t hosted any international Test cricket since the attack on Sri Lankan Cricket team in March 2009 in Lahore. The team had to leave the country without completing the series.

Since then, Pakistan has hosted all their home series in United Arab Emirates(UAE). In 2017 Pakistan got to host Sri Lanka for a three-match T20 series that the visiting side lost 0-3. The successful arrangement of this series led to a three-match series against West Indies in April 2018 as well. Before these Zimbabwe Cricket Team also visited Pakistan in 2015.

PCB recently tried to convince Australia to play at least 2 of the 5 ODIs of the recent series(played in UAE) in Pakistan, but they did not feel comfortable and response was not as expected.
